About 50 nm to go to waypoint off NE St Lucia. Nightime arrival. Wind has been light and up our chuff all day so have reverted to iron tops’l as downwind gybing in light air and swell was too much.
Lovely sunny day. Spirits high as Beachcomber Bar Pain Killers anticipated, to say nothing of a shower. Looks like 21 days crossing, assuming no last minute probs, which is as anticipated. Looking at the South Atlantic chart and all the little position crosses makes Las Palmas seem long ago and far away. What with the moon and the general overcast last night was really the only time we had a good view of the heavens. The weather was mostly benign if cool and a bit grumpy. I will be keeping up an occasional blog from now on but in the meantime would like to thank all our readers for their interest.
