Snail like progress. Finally Anderson have tested a winch and come up with a possible reason for the malfunction. we will check it out tomorrow and see.

 

Met extremely nice chap who is a computer expert and he spent ages trying to sort out my Mailasail issues. Bought a new notebook to use exclusively for Mailasail/FB 150 but keyboard and language is Spanish!!! Also seems lap top has a virus which prevents me loading stuff, as virus prevents server connection. V. odd as I can access the web. Like so many, I was born too late for all this stuff which is not onlly incomprehensible but also insuffferably arrogant in it's peremptory responses and demands to perfectly reasonable expectations from perfectly reasonable users. To be made dependant on a system which promises communications bliss but gives little but intense aggravation is not only to suffer the pangs of unrequited love but also to feel one has been/is being taken for a monumental ride. Or, to having been persuaded to become a junkie being denied one's fix by the very persuader.

 

Still no word on crew so suggesting to Mary she comes over and spend time just hanging out in sunny Lanzarote. It is a plesaant enough place if expensive and barren.
