An eventful day. After having been running for two days and nights with full main and yankee WITH MAX SPEED 11.4 K,, the wind veered necessitating a gybe to the south. As we gybed we saw that one of the batten cars had broken – again. This is a very annoying continuing problem with plastic cars. Allden and Roger diid a great replacement job only to find we had a riding turn on the yankee furler which meant they had to dismante the furler which they did with skill and panache in 20 plus k and a squirrelly sea..

So we continue  on 256 deg heading to warmer climes in force 4-6 with one reef and 3 rolls getting just about the same boat speed as before wih considerablye less strain on the rig and the steering. Less is more.

Jeremy is cooking a delicious smelling concoction wityh curery overtones.

All is well.
