We have a tropical storm passing over us
with lots of rain at the moment. The waves are big and very confused. It makes for a bumpy
ride. It rained really hard today. Enough for me to take a shower in
the rain!
The best part of the weather is that
Jessa is not seasick any more. Makes life much easier. Now, I just have to get
her to do night shift when the waves are big!
Since yesterday we had a dolphin pot
following us. There is around 20 of them and they swim infront of the boat
for 20 mintutes at a time. One is a real show off as he jumps completely out of
the water on several occasion. It looks like he is smiling! Before that
fella left, he jumped out right infront of us! Good photos! It is amazing
watching them swim so effortlessly.
Fish on! Two yellow fin tunas and a
bonito. The yellow fins were on at the same time so Jessa pull the
other in. Her first fish at a cool 10 kg! The other was only 12kg but the
fight was vicious. Both was tagged and released safely. The bonito (2
kg) was just released. It is a record for the most fish caught in one day
so far.
Last night the boom padeye broke again.
Not as bad as the previous time and the fix was easy. This is second time
this trip and I tried to get a sling in Oman and Sri Lanka but they could not
get it. Took about an hour to fix it again and this should last to Malaysia. The
stress put on the sails are enormous.
I am certainly blessed! I have a beautiful
wife. I have a safe boat. I caught some awesome fish today after a great
dolphin show. The only thing missing is Tasha!
