Having left Fiji Weds afternoon we have been storming along ever since, the last 48 hours we averaged over 200 miles each 24 hours which is serious performance for a cruising yacht, this is with 3 reefs (much reduced sail area) in the Mainsail and bringing the Genoa in and out as conditions dictate. The first 12 hours were very heavy weather and seas definitely "stugerons" time! Wind has continued to be a good strength but is forecast to start to die away tomorrow pm so we are making as much ground as we can now. The trick with this passage is to be in the right position for when the wind changes direction closer to New Zealand, we are using our usual weather router guy for constant advice and updates.

All on board are well, cooking is a little challenging and meals are based around what falls out of the fridge and freezer when we gingerly open the doors!
