So another day I the desert with not a lot going on.
However in the early hours of this morning a the Auto Helm failed with a bolt scheering off the rudder stock!

And this bit is dictated...

Haydn rose like real skipper hero and descended into the bowls of the boat to assess the damage. Majestically he returned with some broken pieces of metal and he and Harvey patched up as best they could. HH (hero Haydn)

So we’re manual steering all the way now so reverted to 2 hour shifts, unfortunately John has returned to the Green Side.
