- Yesterday Mujo, our aeolian assistnat, did all the
work, while we were all over the boat, busy doing absolutely nothing. We
hooked another fish, this time even bigger, 48 cm, and prepared in the oven in
what the French call a "papillote." Just as we were finishing the meal,
Paula came down the companionway and informed us that the steering wheel is
very hard to turn. We all rushed up on deck and inspected the helm. The
blocking mechanism seemed to have jammed and we could not get it unstuck. This
morning we dismantled the instruments and compass and repared the
mechanism. The wind is still from the east, increasing from 13 to
24knots. We are flying a butterfly configuration, very ustable, heading
straight west. The midway point of your voyage is coming up in a few hours.
The bottle of rum is ready....
