SPALAX

After nineteen days at sea my able-bodied crew enjoyed their first fresh-water shower. The prohibition of water consumption has been lifted. We only have 244 miles to our goal and one full tank of fresh water.  The fish seem to be biting but the hooks are too small, so they get away quite easily.  And we ran out of bigger, sturdier fishing hooks.  Early this morning I baked the last of the bread for my crew.  Nothing much is happening on board. The Spalax is rolling along at a steady pace of 6 to 7 knots. At first we thought of speeding up by running the engine, or slowing down by decreasing the sail area, to arrive during daytime, but decided against it. We will keep sailing as usual, and will probably arrive shortly after midnight, Sunday morning.
