Recipe for the Mid-Atlantic Crepes
Suzettes
Take one Atlantic and put the Spalax in the middel
of it. To make the batter, blend the last remaining three eggs, one kilo of
flour, two pinches of salt, two pinches of sugar and one liter of milk.
Stir vigourously until smooth. Then fire up the gas stove and make crepes
with olive oil in a frying pan. Spread jam or marmalade on the crepes,
roll them up and put them back in the frying pan. Pour generous amounts of
Caribbean run on the crepes and light. Watch the pyrotechnics, take photos, wait
until the crepes cool down and enjoy.
The north-easterly was gusting 30 knots last night
so we had to reduce the genoa twice. Rogue cross-waves made the boat roll
uncomfortably but its speed was fantastic - 10 knots max. At this rate,
we'll be making landfall on St. Lucia on Sunday.
