More of the same

The Atlantic helter-skelter continued all day yesterday under the fully unfurled genoa, pulling us along at 8 knots maximum.  Some of my crew want to go directly south (180 degrees) to catch the trades, while others prefer a westerly route (270 degrees) that would take us more or less straight to St. Lucia. We settled on a compromise of 240 degrees, so that we'll reach the trades and make the mid-way point of our voyage at roughly the same time.
We hooked a very large golden-green fish yesterday evening. When it was reeled in, it suddenly got unstuck as I tried to haul it onto the boat with my hand hook. Now we are seeking revenge with every hook, line and sinker we've got. (I hope you swallowed than one.)
