Here we are under sunny skies with a poled out
genoa and Hydrovane working like a charm. After two almost sleeples nights, we
are finally settling down to the sailing routine: Jean-Luc and Marjan started
with the first four-hour watch exactly at 1 pm, 22nd November 2009, the start of
ARC2009. Paolo and Paola took the next 4-hour shift and so on until the end
of the regatta. We had up to 26 knots of wind during the first two days with two
sudden but very short lulls. We are on UTC time here on the boat and will not
bother with changing to various local time according to the time zones we'll be
