We left Mahon in the am, heading on an overnight trip to Ibiza. We were planning on staying there for up to 4 nights, as we remembered an anchorage was near the town, there was some bad weather coming, and we wanted to be in a marina during the higher winds. We were also hoping to be able to go back to Fomentera and go swimming. We got to the anchorage, Telemanca, and it was terribly rolly, and we just couldn't stay. The marina we called in Ibiza was going to charge us about 180 Euros a night, ( the other one 280 a night!) so we decided to add some more fuel to the tanks and keep going to Cartagena. I was able to get fresh bread and chocolate croissants at the market near the marina's the fuel dock, making the breakfast and lunch for the day ones to look forward to. The weather was supposed to be in the "green" zone (green is good) so off we went. We had an uneventful trip overnight to Cartagena, and moored up at the YPC Marina on a finger pontoon, and
spent the day recovering. About to head out for dinner. Will stay here a few days, and then head to Gibraltar, another overnight trip if we don't split it up along the way. Hoping to get a better feel for Cartagena and explore the city.
