After heading to Hvar Island, and checking our Dugi Rat, the famous beach on the south side of Brac Island, we headed to the northern Hvar shore, looking for an anchorage. To our dismay, all the small coves we entered didn't have enough space for us to anchor. So we headed towards Stari Grad and to Tiha harbour. We were fortunate to find an available mooring in Stupisce cove, where there were 10 moorings with yellow plastic floaters. The water was crystal clear and that lovely green blue colour. It was quite deep, and when we were stern to shore, we were still in 10 meters of water about 20-25 meters from land. As Vlad and I sat on the "dolphin seats" in the late afternoon/early evening we saw flotilla boat after flotilla boat heading into the adjacent area of Tiha bay. It must have contained 100 boats by sunset! We were in a much more relaxing spot. The next day, after snorkelling, we headed towards Korcula Island. Saw the entire flotilla fleet leave
the harbour, and we went the opposite direction ASAP! Weather is hot, humid, and it is tough to get a good nights sleep.
