We are currently anchored in Liscia bay, waiting out a strong west wind. It has been blowing mostly above 20 knots since 11 am, the past 6 hours. The anchor is holding well, so it hasn't been too off putting. The one thing is, that there are at least 30 kite boarders screaming up and down this bay, with a few windsurfers thrown in for good measure. Every time they come close to us, I cringe. The last thing I want is for their parachute to get caught in our rigging! They must not be too happy that we are in their way, but what to do? So much for our beach day we had planned.

We had spent the previous two nights at another anchorage called Pevero Bay. From the water is was OK, but Ill add a few photos in the next post, and it turned out to be a beautiful view from the beach. The water was clean but chilly. The sand was soft and light coloured. The kids had a great time there. Pavel ate goulash. It was a miracle:)

The plan for tomorrow is to make our way to Porto Torres so we can check out of Italy and make our way to Spain. We will leave depending in the weather window in a day or two from then. Sardinia must be a heaven for the racers of sailing yachts. There is a lot of wind here. But September isn't high season for a reason, and our plans to have a beach retreat haven't been what we hoped with the cooler temperatures and the windy days. Maybe the Baelerics will give us another chance at sun and sand.
