We all spent a lazy morning having breakfast in the cockpit in the sunshine – and got to watch a small group of dolphin swim around the marina too. Adrian eta l had to leave about 10.30 to get back to Miami for their 17.00 flight home.  I couldn’t have imagined a more surprising birthday surprise and really hope they will come back and do the sailing and swimming thing too. Thank you so much to everyone that made it happen.

Nick and Max cycled into town to get some provisions before heading off to the Bahamas. We left about 16.00 travelling south until we got to the narrowest part of the Florida Straights just off West Palm Beach. Then we headed east and straight into the Gulf Stream which we were expecting to be further offshore. It was a very bumpy trip, and slow as we had to battle the current by pointing SE and effectively travelling sideways.
