Dear Friends

Who could believe that yesterday morning we were sunbathing in 27degrees, warm, turquoise seas and enjoying our 'normal' tropical sailing life and yet here I sit in 4 layers of clothes , full offshore weather gear and clutching a hot choclolate for fear of frostbite...

has the world gone mad....??

I, naievely it seems,  thought there may be a gradual transiition between hot and cooler weather but at 1137 yesterday we were in a beautiful sunny atlantic paradise, I even burnt my nose (yet again) and by 1207 we were unwittingly involved in a polar expedition...this cannot be right, can it?????;

I now understand weather and climate is not regional or determined by the physical geography of an area...oh no.. it is imposed in pre-designated pockets by some greater being decides what  you get. This has been applied in a rather crude deliniation of weather condition and for some reason the Canadians are paying a terrible penance that the Bermudans are not!!!

 My first theory, and it is only a quick assessement, is that they (the Canadians) didnt fully embrace every single aspect of the prophet Bob Marley including every song and bad poster and are now failing to adequately celebrate the man and all he stood for in those hallowed places of worship, the beach bar and beer shack. It is only a theory.

Well I guess this will be my last post, we will update again when we reach a place more favoured by 'he that must be obayed' when we can once again feel our fingers.

In the absence of any further information, please assume that tonight we are in a Halifax bar with James and Lesley (Sulana) trying to figure it all out. Thank you for all of your support and please when we next come to route planning ...will one of you step in and make me see sense!!

Love to all
