The wind grew lighter through the night until the
engine was started at breakfast time. We have motored slowly since then
with sails rolled away or set for the little bits of wind around.
With full sun a T-shirt and hat are essential, but I keep retreating to the
cabin.
We sailed past this, I presume an unwell
turtle as it did not dive. It looked alive but that could have been the
waves moving it. It was big, perhaps a foot long but I do not know
the species.
Only 157 miles left now which should put
us in Porto Das Lajes on Flores sometime
Thursday morning.
I finished another book this morning - a hard
life.
