We had supper in one diner and breakfast
in another. Is this high living or economy? They were both opposite
Bath shipyard and certainly not expensive.
We then came away and sailed slowly down against the tide, a lovely quiet
evening with trees on both banks, starting to turn. We moored at
Phippsburg, a few houses was all we could see from the water. We picked up
a mooring (borrowed) 5 miles down river as it would have been dark by the
time we reached the entrance. We could have motored down quickly but
sailing quietly is more pleasant.
The next day we came across to Peaks Island where
we had arranged to meet Phil, a friend of my brother's.
Phil used to instruct kayaking in places like
Belise and Patagonia, but is now settled on Peaks Island building
houses.
