After a quiet night sail we reached here
at 5am.
![]() On Sunday the bakers was closed so a swim was
followed by clothes washing.
Here is Helgur putting his socks up the
flag halyards to dry.
This is the leaving point for Greenland so we
have filled up with water, diesel, gas and chocolate biscuits.
We brought the penguin (biscuits) from England,
to fulfil our mission of taking penguins to Greenland. A new food source might stop the polar
bears swimming to Iceland, as they have this summer. Are we
alleviating the effects of global warming?
![]() More art. This was built into the
concrete wall.
If you look carefully the second signs are
fish and the fourth ones fish with no heads. This is a fish processing
plant. The Icelanders like their jokes.
![]() And here are the crew off to church, not
really, but that is a stylish new church in the
background. |
