Bishops Rock lighthouse appeared where expected (why wouldn’t it?  Yet somehow satisfying that its exactly where you are looking, the wonders of GPS) and we passed it at 9.00am. Impressive rocks all over the place, I’ve always thought that the middle of the Atlantic is safer than a lee shore. Steady breeze, fairly calm seas and we were alongside at Hughtown. The Bacons (Julian & Ed did Antigua-Bermuda leg) came to see us, but had to go home for lunch with a visitor. We put Milano on a mooring and the Bacons dropped us off at the quay. We had a fairly serious amount of food at the Atlantic Inn, left Jo who was to stay for his holiday, and were kindly ferried back to the boat by Dave Barker (Sadler 25) in his dinghy.

We left Hughtown at 4.00pm and the Bacons roared out in their boat for a farewell photo session. We left Wolf Rock to port, amidst a lot of shipping.
