The plan was to sail the boat back to England, the first step being a great excuse for a family holiday over Easter, getting her as far as Antigua. She would stay there for a couple of months while any essential ‘pre-Atlantic’ work was done, and then continue via Bermuda and the Azores.

All the Blackburns (James, Deborah, Marina, Robbie & Douglas) plus Josh Tooley, a school friend of Robbie’s, arrived in the afternoon and settled in at the Grenada Yacht Club berth in the Lagoon. Jerry Telesford, who had looked after the boat for the previous owner, joined us all for dinner at the Yacht Club after reviewing the work done prior to our arrival.
