We inspected the mainsail and it looks like rather than a rip the whole stitch of one section come apart. So I guess it will be easier to repair it but it also means that all stitches probably will need to be redone. We jibed to port tack and since the wind has decreased after lunch we will try to get the Jib out to increase a bit our sailing speed that it has decreased to about 6 kts.
