We picked a mooring in Leinster Bay under a clear bright night with a near full moon. We celebrated with a gin an tonic andolives before going to sleep amazed of the silence. No water washing on the hull no bouncing of waves. A wonderful passage with my dear Italian friend and sailor Riccardo. Just a small ops with the ripped main sail. But after near 30,000 nm sailed since I bought the sail in Tampa Florida in 2010 a small mistake can happen. It only means I will need more sailing time to learn to be more careful. Full report on passage with plots to follow. Celebration swim in Leinster bay Riccardo enjoying the sunrise in Leinster Bay after the swim |
