At 0700 Triple D time (1000 British time) our position is 35:58.6N 52:49.9W
We are motoring along at about 5 knots, with 5.5 knots of breeze that has gone round to being at about 60 degrees to us again. Yesterday we had strong current against us all day but luckily this has disappeared now so we might make some more miles today!

Well its Jillian again at 2am.

I refused to write yesterdays blog after i felt that there was literally
nothing other than "no wind again" to say.
But, this morning I awoke to a long forgotten sound.... silence! which could
only mean one thing! the engine was OFF!!! yay!
Alice and Mum had set the gennaker, and according to mum (a slightly
unreliable witness due to a rapid decline in sanity, seemingly in proportion
to number of days at sea) we were going 7 knots!!! When i got up we were
going a more modest 4.5 to 5 knots but this was still plenty satisfactory!!
we also learnt that our friends on Otra Vida were really close and had in
fact seen the same tanker as us in the early hours, although we couldnt
reach them through VHF or shouting.... shame.

Ad we prepared a lunch of bacon and cabbage wraps a huge pod of dolphins
joined us playing at the bow and doing leaps further in the distance. We
love dolphins!! amd there were so many!
due to the beautiful sunshine we were all perfectly content to read our
books and sunbathe all afternoon, or at least until our 2nd pod of dolphins
joined us!! even more than the first they all came to the bow and with he
water so clear we got some good pictures!

By this time mum was napping and they wind had died away with the boom
banging and the gennaker barely filling, with glum (and slightly
sunburnt)faces Alice and I furled the sail at set the engine in motion again
:(
We are running at 1500 revs to conserve fuel nut still had to put our first
2 jerry cans into the tank before sunset. luckily we have 10 more to go!!
but really some wind would do us nicely!!

for dinner i cooked up a chicken curry with a jar of marks and spencers
curry mum was sat in the cockpit and i came up to discard our
biodegradables, including the curry jar which atill had a few remains,
going towards mum i cockily said " see how far i can throw this!" and lobbed
the jar with all my might. as i turned round to lool at mum all smug after
my brilliant throw i heard in a deadpan voice
"thats nice but i would have preferred it not all over my face"

WHOOPS!!

Mums glasses were splattered with curry sauce, as was the duvet she had over
here, as was her nice cosy thermal top as was her hair and as was just
generally that section of the cockpit.
some ones not in mums good books :(

im alice going to be in alice's dog house as i have broken her alarm clock,
our watch keeper and keeper awaker. trouble trouble but it was an accident.

anyway we watched an episode of prison break and then went our separate
ways.
alice on shift and mum and i to bed. where i lay frustrated that i couldnt
sleep and worrying that i was using up all my thoughts which i was needing
to save for my shift!
apologies for the long blog and numerous typos but clearly i used up every
entertaining thought i had when i was meant to be napping and so have needed
something to amuse my self.
hurling alices clock down the companion way just didnt cut it.
