Huge seas on the way to Bermuda

Our current position at 17.43 (our time - 22.43 British time) is 24.43N, 71.19W. Since we set off we have had around
20 knots of wind at 60-90 degrees and as such we are not able to head
directly to Bermuda just yet! The wind is due to swing round though, and we
are going very fast - I don't think I've seen our speed drop below 6.5 knots
all day!!! At this rate we should make Bermuda very quickly... On the
down-side, the angle of the wind and the huge seas we're experiencing are
not making the sailing very comfortable - it is impossible to do anything
(none of us have gotten dressed all day) and we can't open the fridge
without everything threatening to fall out. Every ten minutes or so, there's
a loud bang and a huge wave breaks over the boat, soaking the unwary.
But the forecast is for the winds to lighten and to swing round, plus the
further north we get, the more they swing round as well, so in a couple of
days we should be in much more comfortable sailing weather! Fingers crossed
for now. While we are not necessarily enjoying the sailing right now, we are
all okay and are just getting on with it!
