another day of motoring...

Its 0640 Triple D time (0940 British time) - we put the clocks back yesterday - and our position is 35:38.3N 55:07.7W. We are motor sailing in 8.4 knots and going 6.6!!!! When mum gets up at 8am we are going to put the jenny up and then cut the engine and SAIL! You would have thought we were a motor-boat at the rate we've been going, almost 4 days and a total of 92 engine hours so far. There is a cargo ship to my right and a little bird just flew across the bow, in between me and the rising sun. Lovely.

Not much happened yesterday either - Jilli is still desperate for a game of monopoly but mum might put her to cleaning the whole boat today to keep her occupied. Monopoly seems difficult on a boat! Mum and I played scrabble and I won with a score of 400, my highest yet. We had pasta with lots of veg for lunch, and meatloaf and salad for dinner. Plus lots of snacking in between, obviously! The cheesecake is almost finished...

Putting the clocks back meant that it wasn't dark at all by 9pm so my first shift went very quickly! We watched another episode of Prison Break after dinner.

That's about it really! Triple D standing by, with fingers crossed for a lovely day of actual sailing today.
