Friday and Saturday

Well it is 7.10am on Saturday morning and our position is 31:26.5N 65:57.7W. Its a good 16, 17 knots, gusting 20. Saturday was forecast to be a day of no wind but, what a surprise, this has not yet materialised! The wind did eventually swing round so we can now head directly for Bermuda with the wind at about 120 degrees, much more comfortable as we are no longer bouncing up and down quite so much but instead just rolling from side to side as the waves catch us.
Despite the wind, we now have the engine on and are going a speedy 7.8 knots - at this speed we may be able to make Bermuda before dark, whereas if we were just sailing it would be more likely that we wouldn't get in until after midnight.
Its another gorgeous sunny day, although COLD!!!!! We are clearly no longer in the Caribbean, very sad.
This is our last day at sea and therefore last daily log until heading to the Azores. We all have our fingers crossed for calmer, following seas for that trip!
