Headwinds sc

At 0700 (Bermuda time) our position is 35:00.47N 57:33.7W. We are making 6 knots over the ground (boat speed is 5.3) in 8.5 knots of headwinds.

Not much to report from yesterday - we motor-sailed along in headwinds of 7-9 knots but were able to make 6 knots over the ground which is a nice speed. We did try cutting the engine for about half an hour but were headed to Newfoundland at 4.5 knots - that's the wrong side of the Atlantic so we decided against that decision!!!
Began the day with more man-o-war's but they seemed to disappear eventually. Another boat just ahead of us, Otra Vida, has complained that they seem to be in a no-go zone, creature-wise - we think we've entered this zone as haven't seen anything since yesterday morning!!
Mum and I played scrabble - I won. In the evening we watched an episode of Prison Break before it got dark (mum popping up the companionway to check if there were any ships about).
We are still eating huge amounts - Jilli cooked up six chicken breasts in a curry sauce, with onions, peppers etc... We ate all six with tortilla wraps, cheese and coleslaw for lunch!!!! Greedy girls! And the cheesecake is rapidly diminishing.

Very little else to say - it was a non-eventful day on the high seas yesterday! Lets all just hope for some winds in the right direction because we are all fed up of headwinds after the trip to Bermuda!!!
