At 0700am our time we are at 28:06.08N 69:37.76W. We're going just 5 knots in 12 knots of breeze - still only at about 90 degrees to the wind. So it still has not swung round to behind us - we are still dreaming of lazing in the cockpit in our bikinis as the spinnaker flies before us! On the bright side, the wind has dropped and the seas calmed down a huge amount just overnight. This morning the sun is rising in a cloudless sky (the first time we've seen the sun since we left!) and we will probably shake out the final reef soon. (either once Mum wakes up, or when I can get up the energy....)
We had another rough day yesterday and for most of the night. Mum advised Jilli to just stay in bed all day, and she mostly followed her advice! But I had cooked a chilli back in Turks and Caicos that I heated up for dinner - it was so good that even seasick Jilli was licking the bowl! Yum.
Sorry the logs haven't been that interesting but we really have been doing very little! Its more just to let you all know our position and that we're safe. Which we are!
