A beautiful dawn

At 0605 Triple D time (0905 British time) our position is 37:48.4N 40:39.1W. We are making 5 knots in 9 knots of breeze, hitting us at about 90 degrees. The wind has died overnight as when I went to bed at midnight it was still 15 knots and we were going 7 knots with one reef in.

It was another windy day yesterday, with the winds up at 19 knots until about 1900. We were making very good speed, 7 knots + all day! But the dying of the wind this morning will have affected our 24 hour total... oh well.
Not much exciting from yesterday, other than it was a beautiful day's sailing, with two reefs in. I made a sausage risotto for dinner and we read our books and napped alternatively all day.

This morning the seas have calmed, there is very little swell, and the sun is just rising dead ahead of us into a clear blue sky. Absolutely beautiful and it looks like it might be a sunbathing day again today!!!
