Wind varying from ENE toNE to occasional NW and from about 5 to 30 knots . So a bit of sail reorganisation required . Initially thought we would put both gibs on one side for the NWLY but the big gib was being blanketed so dropped the staysail . However that was very temporary and decided to go back to our original twin sails but on opposite sides. Thats the limit of action to report! Re weather it’s a bit overcast and jumpers are definitely required at night. So not to much tanning involved yet . ( as if that is relevant to B ! )
Angus had a very temporary rain squall which necessitated the wash boards being employed for 5 mins or so and enough to wet him through. But then life was returned to normal.
On the plotting front we are just about to fall off the Atlantic western portion paper chart but sadly have a gap of 150 miles before we pick up the eastern chart. We’re lost?!?
Sea life remains sparse but we did have a fleeting visit from a butterfly and we have seen 2 or 3 friget birds on a determined course west .
New Years Eve was duely celebrated with rum punch all round for happy hour followed by a delicious chicken curry with dal and basmati rice to follow provided by Becky .
It might be just a coincidence but the loo has decided enough is enough and the outlet pump stuttered to a halt . Angus and Stewart now have it in bits in the cockpit with the vinegar doing it’s dammdest to provide a smooth inwards before re ensembly can be attempted.
Fruit and veg holding out well and monty python providing a jolly, very politically incorrect sound track to accompany a fab journey .
