Monday morning - after a very quiet night at Palmeira, Sal we awoke on Monday to find the Surfers surfing about 100m to the south and the catamaran next to us was looking as if she was about the join the fun.

So up anchor and to calmer spot much nearer to the bars at the N end of the harbour. When it came to weighing anchor- snagged . When it finally emerged there was a G string on the fluke - strong knicker elastic in the Cape Verde.

Off to tarrafal on Tuesday morning and a cracking sail on to Mindelo yesterday. said goodbye to Nick having had a jolly supper with the magic Dragon crew of Stephen Maltby Angus and Helen Lawson RCC (all Plymouth). Turns out we nearly met green dragon when we arrived at tarrafal . As we came in a yacht was drifting out with anchor firmly down and swinging free. Turns out they had to do their anchor weigh in their underpants about half a mile offshore.

Checked out the super market which looks absolutely fine to top up our Lazarote shop.
Supplies survived really well and we have just used our last few bits of Canneries fruit ,And have kept a few things for the crossing.
Angus has been over the side this morning to remove funny tubular growths from the stern of the boat . Stephen tells us it’s a moving growth which goes really hard and is very difficult to remove if not removed when young - must be the warm water.
