Did jobs in the morning checked out with the national police and got our boat papers back . Without any money changing hands . Did a last coms and re fuelled on the very surgy fuel barge . Then we left mindelo into a very disturbed sea ,wind apparently from the north but it died and we were whawllowing in quite a big sea so motored on wind went into the south west not at all what the doctor ordered . However lots of water made and hot shower before bed was great . Motored for about 3 hrs Angus was on watch and the wind arrived at 30 knots from the north north east without any warning we had a full main up , quick sail changes needed unfortunately one of the mainsail slides popped out so getting the main down was a priority . All done and we continued under jib alone a bit more comfortable. But sea still pretty rough.
We have now settled into life at sea , happy hour between 6 and 8 moves the watches around the clock so no one gets the 2 to 4 slot everyday .
Very little wildlife , a flying fish arrived on the deck last night and a couple of petrel have been spied otherwise no much to report .
Becky and I did a bit of half hearted yoga yesterday will do better today ! No yoga on deck however as there had been water on deck all day.
