Continuing on towards Barbados with strongish easterly winds up to about 29 knots so the genny comes in and out depending on the strength. We are noticing a lot of spongy type weed which appears to be clogging up the ocean.. This has challenged trenchard ( the self steering gear) shear bolts . Resulting in 2 pyjama parties last night to replace them. Tea and cake was served post replacement and the night continued. All this being accompanied by a wonderful silver moon which lights our nights ,
So lucky to have the company of this beautiful full moon.
Angus is doing a victory dance his batteries are at 94% just on the wind generator and PV so sadly no hot showers today. But a very happy skipper. A well worth trade off.
No shipping to report for the last few days possibly the ais is not working!!
The last ship we saw didn’t appear to have an ais signal . Might it be telling us something?.
Haute cuisine continues with pea and ham risotto for lunch flowed by sausages casserole tonight for supper post happy hour where the alcohol consumption is really quite restricted with Stew leading the tee total charge . Still lots of fresh veg doing well and everyone’s metabolism responding reliably!!.
