A crew change at Preveza where we were joined by Andrew, also a novice sailor. Kim started to see “flashes” in her left eye so it was off to hospital and then an optometrist who diagnosed glaucoma and gave her a prescription for eye-drops.

The next day, after Ian and Ronica had departed; we headed off to Levkas (38.49.8N 20.42.7E) and moored up in the marina. Unfortunately I misjudged my jump up from the sugar scoop onto the pontoon and fell, splitting open my shin, so it was my turn for the hospital and some stitches. The subsequent infection and two courses of anti-biotics lasted well into October!
