Banyuls sur Mer

The next leg took us to France and the pretty little harbour at Banyuls sur Mer (42.28.9N 003.08.1E) where we had fun berthing bow to with a stern line to a buoy. Another new experience to keep Kim’s mooring anxieties finely tuned. The wind got up during the night and the slack caused by the movement inherent in the buoy system allowed the bow to start rubbing on the concrete pontoon, leading to the classic image of me in underwear motoring the boat astern to try and then get the stern line tight enough to keep us off. All was well, apart from some slight scratches in the gel-coat. The buoy spent the night submerged, the line was so tight!
