Day 4

David can now see the light at the end of the tunnel with regards to finishing the massive task on the spinnaker.  134 feet of whipping!  This is good news as we are currently in lighter winds which will carry the kite well.  Last night was a lot of fun, with decent speeds in excess of 10 knots often reached.  Richard put in some extra hours at the helm, which was appreciated by all.

Cockpit chat is eclectic.  From the origins of the phrase, 'I haven't a clue'; Is it nautical?  As in no clew on the spinnaker?  To a grumpy old man session held between Peter, Richard and Phillipa.  They were overheard moaning about London bus drivers, the state of education, manners and an overall lack of respect from the 'Yoof'.  Couldn't possibly comment! Can we put the world right through our little blog?

Good weather for fishing, will soon get out the new rod and Iridium reel bought in Gran Canaria.  Heading towards tinned food, and the larder beneath us is starting to appeal more and more.  Last night's Chilli Con Carne was divine.  Everyone is healthy and beards are blossoming!  Although Moore and McSwein had a headstart on that front!
