Phew! Definitely the hottest day so far... The cloud has gone and the climate has become very Mediterranean - good news for all of the sun worshippers on board. There's still not quite enough wind to sail so we're plodding on under engine, trying to find new ways to relieve the boredom.

I stopped the boat for half an hour while we all had a swim at lunchtime. Swimming around the boat in open water is a fantastic experience - the water here is crystal clear and a very deep blue colour. You can clearly see the underneath of the boat, and it's reassuring to see that our keel, rudder and prop are all still where they should be! It was really nice to cool off and we've got loads of water for showers too so everyone smells nice again! As we've been motoring all day, the showers were even warm - who says race boats have to be uncomfortable?

ETA Gibraltar is sometime in the early hours of tomorrow morning, and hopefully we'll add a few photos to the blog if we can find some proper Internet.
