We've had a quiet couple of days with winds from the East (argh!) and been beating north east in nice sunny conditions.
To relieve the monotony of steering we even composed a song, which I'll include below...

(To the tune of "Girl put your record on" - Corrine Bailey Rae)

Two little boys, sat in the Cockpit
Flavio said you don't need to worry
We've been tacking now for seven days
The Azores just don't get any closer

Maybe Someday
You grind away but it's no use
The more you change the sails
The more they stay the same
But Don't Persperate!

Girl put the kettle on
And sing your favourite song
You go ahead let a reef out
Cowes is a fading dream
We'll not get there it seems
But when's the food gonna run out?

.... ('tis only a joke, don't worry!)

Seriously though, we're using this time to refill the diesel from the gerry cans, we're fishing (no luck so far) and checking our stocks of food and water.Once we get through the Azores high - we're in the middle of it now - we'll make a decision about stopping based on our food and weather projection. Will be about 12 days if we head for Falmouth, or 6 days ish to the Azores

Hope you're keeping the home fires burning. Don't succumb to the swine flu or anything like that until we get back!
Lots of love, from

Iain and the P42 crew,,
