the direction we asked for. The wind is Force 7 (approximately 25 knots)
from the Southwest. We are currently beating into the wind making good time
but it is a rough, wet, ride. DJ and I went on the foredeck this afternoon
to put the covers in the Dorade vents. We completed the mission without too
much difficulty but the deck was so awash in water that his lifejacket
automatically inflated because he got so swamped with water. Not a big deal
as we have a spare and we can repack that one when the weather settles.
We expect this weather to continue for 24 - 36 hours before it lightens up.
