Yesterday we had a quick stop (21 hours) in Guernsey, Channel Islands. Just
enough time to eat, clear out of the EU, and do some laundry. We left our
Oyster Commissioning Team member, Duncan Bush ashore and left one man down.
We learned a lot from Duncan and appreciate his wealth of knowledge and
experience.

We rounded the Isle of Ushant in Northern France at 730 this morning and set
out across the Bay of Biscay. This is a notoriously rough patch of water if
the wind is not favourable. Fortunately for us, Neptune is being kind and we
have a NE wind that has vacillated between Force 5, 6, and 7. The noon
weather report called for a Gale Warning and Force 8 winds. We have seen
some Force 8 but not sustained.

Today we are testing the boat systems and enjoying a beautiful sunny
downwind day. We anticipate being across the Bay of Biscay by Wednesday
morning.

Happy Birthday to Mike who turns 44 Today!
