confusing and busy 240 boat start. We favoured the East side of the course
and were over just after the gun. It was a clean start so the fleet begin
their 2800 mile journey across the Atlantic. We stayed to the East away from
shore and had good wind throughout the day. We were on the left side of the
fleet and sailed a longer distance so after a short run we lost some ground.
We are settling in to our first night at sea and look forward to a good
dinner aboard.
