Friends,
Last night Sean moved NW of us and provided us with 40knot winds rotating around from the south to the northwest. Winds are now 25-30 knots but expected to subside over the next 6-8 hours. We hope to leave tomorrow but there will be a rush for the fuel dock. No docking in the winds we have been having. Melissa flies home tomorrow so we will be a crew of four to Tortola. Hope for a fairly mild crossing of 4-5 days. Weather window looks good with N-NE 10-20 knots. We are hunkered down for the day with maybe a movie. Good wifi but no Netflix !  Patriot, the last remaining boat of our fleet coming to Bermuda, arrived at dusk last night just before Sean. They had spent 10 days getting pummelled with no winds less than 25 knots and were SOOO HAPPY to be in. Unfortunately they could not be on the dock and so had to go to anchor with a completely dishevelled boat. Considering the role this harbour plays as a haven for yachts the marina facilities are sorely lacking. As a crew we are planning future marina facilities for St George's ... More to come when we put to sea.
