The crew is made up of Melissa and Jim
Covington who are friends from Burlington and Jim has done a passage with me
before. Melissa is a work associate of Eva and so we know them quite well and
they are truly "up for anything" . Austin Edison has done every passage with me
and has a plaque on his cabin door with his name on it...by which I mean he has
become part of the family. Melissa picked up her solo 9-12 watch
immediately and we all fell into a very comfortable rythm. We have now been in
Bermuda 4 days and probably won't be leaving 'till Saturday as a low SW of us
may develop hurricance force tonight and pass nearby tomorrow with 50-60 knot
winds tomorrow night. We have set a second anchor and will hunker down for the
night probably taking anchor watches. Mexican dinner aboard tonight with great
drinks and food and company. Regrettably because of the weather delay Melissa
will have to leave us here in Bermuda. We hope to have her and Jim aboard for
next years passage.
