Our great run of the last 2 days has come to an abrupt end.

Suddenly this morning the wind died to a gentle breeze so we had to set  the spinnaker just to keep moving, added to this is the weather report showing a large hole of wind ahead so we are now heading quite acutely south to get round this. Hopefully tomorrow morning we can change course and head back towards Antigua.

We think this will add another day onto the trip so it looks like this could become quite a slow crossing and the worse thing is we are running out of books but worse than that is we could end up eating the tinned corned beef!

It was absolutely scorchio today over 30 c and it shows as everywhere someone sits there is a small patch of sweaty residue left and going to bed is even worse.

We are just passing a cargo ship at the moment and i still find it amazing that in all this space he has had to adjust course to not hit us.

Also yesterday we made contact with a 56ft catamaran called “Impossible Dream” which has been specifically built for a person in a wheel chair to operate all the controls. Talking to the skipper he said they had a BBC camera crew recording the trip to BVI so we may just get a mention.
