New year but all else stay's the same

New years eve and again we were treated by chef to delicious steak followed by homemade brownies and a glass of champagne to usher in 2010. We also turned on the blue underwater lights which looked cool until the flying fish started launching at us, there was also a worry that we were attracting some kind of leviathan from the depths.

It was a slightly reserved event as we were all feeling sorry for ourselves as we are still without wind and making only 2 miles an hour with the spinnaker hanging like a wet hanky. The seas have just a slight swell so it’s pretty peaceful apart from the creaking from the mast and the odd exhalation of frustration.

Tim caught 2 more Mahi Mahi yesterday one within 10 seconds of laying out the line, we think he must of been living under the boat, unfortunately they are not on our shopping list so we let them go – one minus an eye, oops! We are on strict orders from chef Tuna only so it’s a very eco friendly catch and release system.

There is hope on the horizon and Antigua is going nowhere so it’s back to the reading and sunbathing- what hell!

Gone back another hour we are now UT-3
