Azores High

As we motor along in bright warm sunshine with light westerly winds it is
fair to say that the Azores High is now firmly established. We will need
some wind at some stage on this 1200 mile leg because we can only motor for
700! I'm sure that something is being cooked up for us even as i write!

We saw loads of dolphins and some small whales as we left the Azores but
only one sighting today and a visitation from a small, speckeled brown bird
who neither ate or drank but did leave a small amount of guano.

On the subject of cooking Andrew is presently preparing a corned beef hash,
with fresh green beans and mash. This has become one of his niche dishes and
I dare say the crew at Brighstone will be getting a taste on his return. His
very own version of 'The Girl from Ipanema' is also coming on well.

The biggest danger now seems to be that the seemingly unreadable library is
now nearly all read. Teg has even been seen reading Stella Rimmington,s
autobiography which is not normally her style. Needs must on a busy day in
the ocean.

840 miles to Camaret.
