Americans here who clearly believe that it will all be over tomorrow or the
day after (in 1914 it was all going to be over by Xmas).
Having left Barbuda we returned to Antigua to meet the Scotts and then
turned west to Nevis where we unpacked our somewhat unused legs for some
hiking (and lunch). We have since moved North and West to St Maarten where
we are now regrouping for a proper voyage north to Bermuda which is 970
miles from here. I have been spending money at the biggest chandlery I have
ever been to finding replacement parts that I could not dream of finding in
the UK. We will stop brief in Anguilla en route.
