Back tracked a bit to see the infamous Raz de Sein from land. We have already passed this on the boat, but it is legendry for it's force. The tidal stream runs at 6 knots at certain times and can make boats go backwards! There is often a huge sea at this point due to the speed of the water and the rocks. The bay to the side is called "The Baie de Trespasses" named as such for the numerous boats that don't make it through the Raz and end up wrecked in the bay!

From our vantage point and on a nice but hazy day it looks fairly benign!
