A typical Saturday: we got up late, read the papers, had breakfast, walked
the dog, went to the pub for lunch.
Then we woke up from our dreams! It has been a lovely day, though, and very
relaxing.
Blue skies, hot sun and a docile sea all add up to easy sailing. We had a
giant breakfast of three-egg omelettes with ham, cheese and tomato filling and
tonight it’s a pork stir fry with noodles.
We’ve just changed course and the sail plan because the latest weather
report shows low pressure to the north west which could take away our wind. So
we’re heading south west towards the 15North latitude line where the winds are
predicted to be good on Monday evening.
It looks like being a clear starry night so keeping watch will be bathed in
moonlight again. Tomorrow morning we’ll hit the halfway mark and celebrate with
a cup of tea (there’s no alcohol on board apart from one can of beer, which
we’re saving for Mark’s birthday on December 4).
